Travelog : Hong Kong

Assalammualaikum

Hi!
It's been a while right, yeah, I just don't feel like writing aaa T_T
I think my last post was when I'm in Aussie before my 3 months break, and guess what now I'm back in Aussie again haha. Going to start my first class of 2nd year tomorrow and really looking forward of what this year has in store for me! A bit about my summer break; well I think it's quite productive. I went back to Malaysia, spent most of the time with my family, then work for 5 weeks, went to Hong Kong and spent some time with my friends. Glad that I had most of my food cravings fixed! So blessed *

Okay okay let's talk about HK nowww

My dad decided to bring us for a 5 days and 4 nights trip to Hong Kong in the middle of February.
We didn't have any tour guide so my dad planned everything very thoroughly.
Honestly guys, I'm amazed with my dad * He did all the planning, made the itinerary, printed all the maps of the route we're taking, booked everything for us and had the list of all the halal restaurants that we can go, 100 percent complete!! Down here, I'm sharing with you our Halal Hong Kong Itinerary. This is one way to show my appreciation for him (I hope he's happy!) and who knows this can help any of you! hehe

My dad did quite the same for our previous holiday trips, but this one was extra I guess? Considering English is not that common there, so more effort is needed right. Talking about languages, yeah we did experience language barrier. It's quite tough to speak with them, I remember this one time I was a bit pissed off because I ordered this one thing but I got something else like heyy you can't go wrong my food hm :( however there are still people who can speak good English. The Hong Kong city is congested with skyscrapers! You will see tall buildings almost everywhere. Their houses are mostly apartments. It's really rare to find landed homes there. Plus, almost everyone there uses the public transports like buses, ding ding and MTR (same like trains in other country) so that explains why their public transports were always packed! Also from my observation, they didn't provide any car parks for their apartments. I guess their land is so scarce and that makes the price to have a car park very expensive. Only really really rich people owns a car. Interesting.

Idk how to say this but our family is quite into theme parks so It's a must to go to every theme park that particular place have. In HK, we went to Ocean Park and Disneyland. Disneyland was amazing, it was my first time and I was super excited! The place itself is very exciting, colorful and they have more family-friendly-rides. The best moment was when our mom rode the roller coaster haha! We thought that the roller coaster was also family-friendly so we eagerly asked our mom to join us but I guess we were wrong xD anyways we believe our mom enjoyed it :')

My review for Ocean Park is hmm this place is hella big. All the animals-related-places are at the lower part of the park while all their rides are at the upper part of the park. To get to the upper part, you either have to use the Express Train or the Cable Car ride. So we decided to go up using the cable car and go down using the Express Train. However my suggestion for you guys is to do the opposite way! This is because the cable car ride opens quite late than the express train, so if you really want to ride all their roller coasters, it's best for you to go to the upper part as soon as you enter the park. This will save you from a long queue for every ride. That day we realized that we were unable to finish all the rides in the park and were quite sad :/ I believe that the park has a lot to offer but we just don't have enough time to explore all of them. My favourite ride is the mine train

In short, Hong Kong has been an adventure!

Phew I guess I wanted to stop here cuz I just realized I wrote a lot. I summarized our trip in the video beloww :D (Sorry for the bad quality, blame blogger for not allowing more than 100MB videos to be posted in here huhu and also blame my videography skill haha)

I'm starting my first class tomorrow! Do pray for me and if you're reading this till here thankyou so much. Byee

Sincerely by Amira Aina ;D
